Zollanvari: Crystalia Collection

Zollanvari Studio’s new design in celebration of the company’s 75th “diamond” anniversary in 2021 is inspired by the mystic topaz gemstone. Experienced weavers have converted the iridescent, rainbow colours of the faceted stone into a sophisticated, abstract carpet design with 3D effect. The super-fine Gabbeh Variegated Topaz 2 features striking dynamics that draw the gaze in modern interiors.

Balta Home: Luxurious, sustainable ... and suitable for outdoors

The rugs comprising the Ray Collection of Balta Home look superb both in the living room and out on the terrace. Low pile areas are worked into the light and supple flatweave, creating tactile patterns. Sometimes austere, sometimes playful, the designs are always modern, but with a classic appeal that makes them a fit with any style of furnishing and decor. They come in a highly diverse array of colours as well, ranging from subdued natural tones to delicate pink and intense ochre. These indoor/outdoor carpets are made of durable, easy-care polypropylene yarn.

The Rebound collection is 100% made from recycled PET bottles (RPET), and the rugs come in seven sizes and in three neutral plain colours: cream, light grey and mid grey. An extra-soft back affords extra protection for potentially sensitive flooring. Rebound rugs are easy to cut-to-fit, and even machine washable. And they are fully recyclable—again—at the end of their useful life.

With a cuddly soft pile height of 30 mm, the rugs in the Stella collection create a comfy home atmosphere in tastefully muted colours across the spectrum of the rainbow. The collection features abstract patterns with organic lines, geometric shapes and designs both archaic and traditionally inspired. Part of the Balta Home A line, these rugs are machine-woven of extra-fine non-abrasive microset PP yarn.

Peyer-Syntex: Classics for all home styles

With retro and eclectic in nowadays, oriental rugs are no longer just for a traditional ambience in the home. Home textile all-rounder Peyer-Syntex presents its new Classic collections for 2022 – Amina Medaillon and Amina Allover – with fine designs, high-quality yarn and elegant colours. Carpets with a centrally placed medallion motif are predestined to appear solo in living rooms, while less conspicuous all-over patterns best harmonize with dining room and study furnishings. Amina Allover is also available as custom-length runner. Like the rest of the collection, these individually manufactured products are shipped out swiftly throughout Europe from their production site in Dietzenbach (Germany).

Zollanvari: Tiger Collection

The formidable Caspian tiger, which once roamed the northern provinces of Iran. Extinct now for around 50 years, Zollanvari Studio is commemorating the big cat in its colourful Tiger Collection, launched on July 29th – International Tiger Day. The beasts are traditionally depicted on the super-fine Gabbeh carpets, with a wild expressiveness. These impressive collection items will be available in four colours from March 2022, the Tiger 2 shown here in blue.

W. Heino: Skins for cosy living

Skins have been enjoying great popularity for several years now, used as cushion covers, for seat pads and as carpeting. And no wonder, being so warm and cuddly ... as real products of nature. These popular products fit very well with the modern Scandinavian style as home living accessories, but also look great with traditional interiors, and go with the hip “loft” look as well.

Founded all the way back in 1747, W. Heino is an owner-managed family firm with a broad product portfolio, offering a complete range of skin products since 1886. It’s no accident that the company’s headquarters is in Schneverdingen, in northern Germany’s heath region, where there is a tradition of trading in the skins of specially bred local sheep. In response to rising demand the company changed its business model to all-imported, purchasing tanned skins of New Zealand sheep and Brazilian cattle.

Proprietor Christoph Heino runs the business today, keeping a warehouse full of skins and lambskin rugs in natural tones and the latest trendy colours, offering special sizes and shapes as well.

Theo Keller / Tom Tailor: Chillin’ with Funky Outdoor

What, the nice Persian rug out on the patio? An ikat carpet out on the balcony? No problem! The Tom Tailor Home’s new Funky Outdoor line of carpets don’t mind the sun and rain. These machine-made carpets are of durable, UV-resistant polypropylene and polyester fibres so they are quick-drying, and clean easily with just a damp cloth. Available in timeless classic models and in contemporary graphic designs in a range of colours, these carpets can fit in with any setting. And besides looking great indoors too, of course, they are even suitable for underfloor heating. Comfy natural look

In recent years people have been looking at the home as a place of personal refuge moreso than ever before. And attractive interior decor contributes to a feeling of well-being – textiles and carpets in particular lending everything a warmer, more comfortable feel.

Peyer-Syntex, purveyor of a wide range of home textiles and accessories, has a new carpet collection for 2022 named “Ylva”, characterised by restrained natural colours and timeless graphic designs. Heat-set frisé yarn made of polypropylene, the rugs have a pleasantly soft feel with a pile height of eight millimetres. The rugs fit well into any room with dimensions ranging from 67 x 133 cm up to 240 x 340 cm. The collection includes carpet runners available in three widths with custom length, perfect for hallways and bedrooms. These are delivered individually to retailers, or sent directly to the consumer buyer.

Tom Tailor Home: Carpets across Berlin

Tom Tailor has teamed up with Berlin-based artist Fabienne Meyer, aka “Bings”, to create the new Handtuft Collection. Instead of doing the regular studio photoshoot, they went out to the homes of the designer and of five interior design bloggers. The photos from the latest campaign – managed by Benjamin Stewner, head of Brand Transfer GmbH – show Bings’ new and instagrammable carpet collection looking really chic. Tom Tailor Home has put Stewner and his team in charge of its ‘Global Concept, Marketing & Sales’.

Stäubli: Latest technologies for future challenges

International rug manufacturers are constantly launching new collections. Whether noble, original, classic or modern, the designs have one thing in common: weavers must pay attention to the efficiency of their production means in order to survive in today's market. In the field of machine-woven rugs, Stäubli has secured its place in the production halls of renowned rug manufacturers with its Alpha rug weaving systems.

Now Stäubli is presenting its latest weaving system, the Alpha 560 Universal. It features new technologies and is designed to bring benefits to weaving mills that help to increase efficiency and thus productivity. The system allows a weaving width of 5.3 m and thus the simultaneous weaving of different (design and size) rugs in order to optimally meet market demands. Rug manufacturers and designers benefit from the versatility of design options, including cut pile and flat-weave, patterning on the ground, weft patterning as well as reverse, sisal and also high pile.

Zollanvari: Dreamtime Chants

The fusion of south Persian tribal aesthetics, Aborigine ‘soul’ paintings and contemporary artistic movements in particular Spatialism is at the heart of the Dreamtime Chants Collection created by Zollanvari Studio, a collection developed for Zollanvari‘s 75th Anniversary.
