Carpet underlay specialist AKO Kolckmann is expanding its range to include non-slip mats for babies, made in Germany. The original crawling and play mats are available in various standard sizes; special sizes are also possible. The play mat is baby-safe in several respects: the Oekotex certificate class 1 ("baby standard") fulfils particularly strict requirements and certifies that the product is resistant to saliva.

The 4.5 mm thick play rugs for indoor and outdoor use provide a non-slip, pleasantly "crawl-warm" underlay that simultaneously cushions falls and dampens sound. Building blocks can be stacked easily on the smooth surface, and toy cars can also roll freely. A damp cloth and hygienic cleaners will quickly remove dirt.

AKO's crawling mat is also very suitable as a yoga and sports mat, so it can be used at any age. The modern colour spectrum currently includes eight colours, and will be expanded this year to include pastel shades.
