Giga: small presentations instead of one large trade fair

Giga International's yearly trade fair, planned for this summer, has been cancelled due to Corona: This was announced by the purchasing association's managing director Gerald Socher. The event was to take place in Wels, Upper Austria, from 19 to 21 August; now it has been postponed to 2021. Accoring to Socher, it is of paramount importance to protect the health of all colleagues, members and business partners, which is why the decision to take this step has been taken now, in anticipation of governmental regulations.

At the same time, the association is concerned with providing all manufacturers and members with the best possible support. To this end, additional Giga meetings are to be held in Würzburg in autumn – with the aim of presenting new products to smaller audiences. Active further work on new developments for the association is expressly desired, says Blocher.
