XXXLutz buys Swiss furnishing chain LIPO

The XXXLutz Group continues its expansion in Europe with the purchase of the 23 LIPO furniture stores in Switzerland. This brings the number of XXXLutz-operated furniture stores to over 370 in currently 13 European countries. In addition, the company has 15 online shops.

The LIPO headquarters will remain in Pratteln near Basel, according to the company. In addition, the furniture discounter will continue to operate with its own market presence and under its current name. "In Switzerland, the LIPO brand stands for low-priced furnishing and is the clear number 1 in the Swiss discount furniture market," explains Thomas Saliger, company spokesman of the XXXLutz Group. "We want to continue this success and develop this strong position. In future, LIPO will additionally benefit from the great purchasing competence and purchasing strength of the XXXLutz Group and thus steer towards a good and secure future."
