Heimtextil, leading international trade fair for home and contract textiles, will be held as a one-off Summer Special from 21 to 24 June, Messe Frankfurt has now announced. Techtextil and Texprocess, the respective leading trade fairs for technical textiles and nonwovens as well as for the processing of textile and flexible materials, will be held at the same time.
The decision to hold a summer edition this year, the organisers added, was in response to the unequivocal vote of the home and contract textiles sector, which wants a re-start for face-to-face business meetings before the end of the year. Exhibitors and buyers also benefit from valuable synergy effects between the three international fair formats.
"It is great to see the high level of trust our exhibitors have in us even after more than two years of the pandemic. The results of the vote and the first confirmations of participation show: The desire to finally return to personal business meetings and new global contacts in face-to-face exchanges this year is as strong as ever - even if the reunion this year will take place in a different setting than usual", says Olaf Schmidt, Vice President Textiles & Textile Technologies, pleased with the positive response.
