Florian Müller will take over the management of Otto Golze & Söhne GmbH on 1 October 2022. Main shareholder Ekkehart Golze will assist the company in the future as a member of the board of directors and shareholder. "I am very pleased that our paths have crossed and that I can hand over the responsibility of our family business, which will be 150 years old next year, into the hands of Mr. Müller," says Golze about the change in management.
Florian Müller, a sales and marketing professional, was most recently Vice President Home & Business at Hailo, where he was also the godfather of the digitalisation strategy team, among other things. Müller previously lived and worked in Toronto and was responsible for the global marketing of the design manufacturer Umbra. Florian Müller also played a key role in the expansion of the Fatboy brand on the German market. At Golze, Müller will focus on the topics of digitalisation, customer loyalty and sustainability.
Otto Golze & Söhne was founded in 1873 and will celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2023. The German-based company is a full-range supplier of floor mats and carpets and serves customers in over 40 countries. Golze is known in the trade under its own brand Astra and distributes, among others, the licensed brands Schöner Wohnen and Joop Living.
