SN-Verlag Hamburg: Norman Virks completes the management team

The management of SN-Verlag Hamburg, the publishing house behind Carpet Home, is setting the course for the tasks of the future and is getting younger: in addition to publisher Michael Steinert and his son Tim Steinert, a third managing director, Norman Virks, has joined the company on 1 April. He is known in the flooring industry as the long-standing head of the marketing cooperation of Joka Fachberater with wholesaler Jordan - a position Virks has held since 2013. The 42-year-old was born in Kassel and has a degree in economics. After working for CDU member of parliament Dr Jürgen Gehb, Virks joined Jordan in 2009 - first as an assistant to the management and then in charge of personnel development, marketing and corporate communications. From 2011 until his recent departure, Norman Virks also managed the business of the W. & L. Jordan Foundation.

In his new position as co-managing director of SN-Verlag, Virks intends to focus on issues such as digitalisation and the company's trade fair activities - SN-Verlag will be organising the Hometex trade fair in Bad Salzuflen (formerly ABK Open). "The expansion and development of existing business areas is also important to me, but always with a focus on the core business. I would like to thank Michael and Tim Steinert for their confidence in me," says Norman Virks. Michael Steinert has been managing the trade magazine publishing company for around 50 years, while his son has been with the company for almost 30 years. The company specialises in interior design and food magazines - in addition to Carpet Home, its portfolio includes BTH Heimtex, Haustex and, from 2023, Eurodecor. "We are delighted to have gained a proven expert in the flooring industry in Norman Virks and look forward to the impetus he will bring to our publishing house," say the Steinerts.
