Milan Design Week 2025: Rugs at Salone del Mobile and Fuorisalone

Milan Design Week took place from 16 to 21 April 2025, once again confirming its status as an international hotspot for interior and design. It brings together the Salone del Mobile furniture fair at Fiera Milano Rho and the many creative events of Fuorisalone throughout the city. Rugs were present in both spheres – on the fairgrounds with leading brands and across Milan in imaginative installations, showrooms and exhibitions. Whether minimalist or artistically staged, textile floor coverings emerged as a strong design element. The Salone del Mobile alone attracted over 302,000 trade visitors from 151 countries, 68% of whom came from abroad. The event reaffirmed its role as a driving force for global interior trends and as a platform for creative exchange between craftsmanship, design and architecture.
