According to the official consolidated financial statements, Deutsche Messe AG (DMAG) generated revenue of EUR 296.6 million in fiscal year 2024, exceeding its target but falling short of the previous year’s figure of EUR 353.9 million. Operating profit (EBITDA) reached EUR 29 million, compared with EUR 60.5 million a year earlier, while net profit stood at EUR 18.1 million. The company’s subsidiaries in China and Turkey performed particularly well, increasing their revenues by 23 per cent. In contrast, lower income from Hannover Messe and Domotex had a negative impact.
The trade fair business in Germany moved closer to pre-pandemic levels in 2024. According to the consolidated report, Hannover remains one of the world’s leading exhibition venues. Around 60 per cent of exhibitors came from abroad, and new formats and thematic partnerships are expected to further strengthen competitiveness.
For 2025, DMAG plans to increase revenue to EUR 324.7 million and achieve EBITDA of EUR 19.6 million. Major contributions are expected from the cyclical return of flagship trade fairs such as Ligna, EMO and Agritechnica.
