Expectations exceeded: That is the conclusion of @Hometex Winter, which opened its doors in Bad Salzuflen from 19–20 November. Alongside the traditional bedding segment, this year’s event once again placed a focus on area rugs as well as a versatile offering of fabrics and curtains. Despite the challenging market environment, around 900 trade visitors attended, including many key buyers for home textiles and rugs.
The visitor profile ranged from buying groups and large-scale retailers to mail-order companies. Only the attendance from specialist retailers and at the fabric exhibitors’ stands revealed further potential. Both exhibitors and visitors praised the compact, carefully curated format, which provided ample space for personal exchange. The overall mood was noticeably more positive than market figures might have suggested. A detailed report on rugs at @Hometex Winter 2025 will be published in Carpet Home I/2026.
