Heimtextil 2026: Carpet industry utilises expanded space

The "Carpet & Rugs" segment moved into Halls 11.0, 11.1, and 12.0 at this year's Heimtextil (13–16 January), benefiting from significantly more generous presentation areas than in previous years. This expansion aligned with current industry trends: as carpet manufacturers were virtually unrepresented at this year's Domotex, exhibitors focused heavily on their appearance in Frankfurt. Within the industry, however, the new spatial layout received a mixed response; in particular, the long walking distances and the separation between Hall 3.0 and the area in Hall 12 were key points of discussion. A total of 3,000 exhibitors – 96% of whom came from abroad – presented their latest designs. Despite a slight dip in attendance to 48,000, the quality of visitors increased, with the share of top decision-makers rising to 78%. A detailed report, including an analysis of the new hall structure, will be featured in the upcoming issue of Carpet Home.
