The world's largest flooring manufacturer, Mohawk Industries (Karastan, Unilin, Mohawk Home), has announced a leadership transition. Paul De Cock, currently President and Chief Operating Officer, will take over as Chief Executive Officer effective 30 September 2026. He succeeds Jeffrey S. Lorberbaum, who is retiring as CEO after an accomplished 50-year career with the company. However, Lorberbaum will remain with the US group and continue to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors. The designated CEO, Mr De Cock, joined the group following the acquisition of Unilin in 2005 and possesses extensive international experience in laminate, wood, LVT and broadloom sectors. In his new role, he aims to sharpen the flooring giant's focus and unlock new opportunities for growth.
