Paulig: Wild Elegance, Reimagined

Savage Animal from the Moroccan Roots collection takes up the striking aesthetic of exotic animal-hide patterns and reinterprets it in a contemporary way. Whether zebra or tiger, the expressive design of this deep-pile rug is deliberately open to interpretation, giving rooms a distinctive, individual character. Hand-knotted in Morocco, it combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design. It sits just as naturally within calm, understated interiors as within bold, expressive living concepts.

The Moroccan Roots line draws on the centuries-old tradition of Moroccan Beni Ourain rugs. Originally made by the Beni Ourain tribes in the Atlas Mountains, these Berber rugs are known for their soft wool and warm, natural colour tones.

The rug is made from 100 per cent new wool and finished with a kilim edge – twisted fringes are available on request. It is available in widths from 130 to 400 cm and lengths from 130 to 1,500 cm; the size can be configured individually.
