Home & Flooring Expo 2021: Carpet Home draws positive conclusion
SN-Verlag Hamburg, which also publishes Carpet Home, held its first digital trade fair for the flooring industry at the beginning of November 2021: Home & Flooring Expo. 14 exhibitors had registered for the virtual premiere; Bahram Tahbaz, Care & Fair, Faradj & Homayoun Farhadian and Oritop were amongst them. The companies presented themselves and their products at virtual stands. Visitors could contact their staff directly via chat and video functions.
Organiser Tim Steinert concludes: "It was a very positive experience for us as organisers – because I saw that we could do it." In spring 2022, SN Verlag is planning to continue the digital format, probably in March or April and probably over a period of one day instead of four days, attracting a large number of both exhibitors and visitors.
The Home & Flooring Expo had between 150 and 180 visitors per day, Tim Steinert says. Participants praised the integrated SN Home business lounge for networking and the digital pinboard "Wall of Inspiration", which was showing photos of the fair highlights.
"Of course, many things are still in their infancy, and our industry is still in the early stages when it comes to digital trade fairs," one visitor commented. "From my point of view, it was important for someone to take the first step." On the virtual exhibition stands, it was possible to get into personal contact with the exhibitors with just one click, e.g. via video call.
