Exploring Carpet History: Lectures at the Textile Museum

The GW Museum and The Textile Museum in Washington, USA, have announced their programme for the coming months. Rug enthusiasts can look forward to two special lectures: From the Bosporus to Samarkand on Saturday, 22 February, at 11 a.m., where Wendel Swan will discuss the impact of the 1969 exhibition on the field, and The Classical Tradition in Anatolian Carpets on Saturday, 5 April, at 11 a.m., in which Walter Denny will reflect on the legacy of the 2002 exhibition from today’s perspective. Both events will be held virtually and in person.
