Zimmer Austria realigns leadership

Carpet machinery manufacturer Zimmer Austria is bringing its two previously independently run companies in Klagenfurt and Kufstein together under the name "Zimmer 2028". According to the company, the full merger is set to take effect on 1 January 2028. Management has already changed with immediate effect: Horst Ros and Jürgen Scheriau stepped down as managing directors at the end of August, with Ros leaving the company and Scheriau withdrawing from operational business. Thomas Mentler and Andreas Rass, who already served as managing directors of the Kufstein-based Digital Printing Systems, have led both sites jointly since 1 September.

According to Zimmer Austria, the new structure is intended to pool expertise and resources, shorten decision-making paths and strengthen innovation capacity. The company is among the world's leading manufacturers of printing and coating technology for the carpet industry, including its Chromojet and Colaris digital printing systems.
