Sophie Taeuber-Arp – Living Abstraction

Geometric elements come together to form modern designs: The Swiss artist Sophie Taeuber-Arp (1889-1943) was a pioneer of abstraction and implemented her dynamic formal language in textiles, furniture, architecture, beadwork, stage costumes and a puppet theatre, for example. Carpet underlay specialist AKO Kolckmann is expanding its range to include non-slip mats for babies, made in Germany. The original crawling and play mats are available in various standard sizes; special sizes are also possible. The play mat is baby-safe in several respects: the Oekotex certificate class 1 ("baby standard") fulfils particularly strict requirements and certifies that the product is resistant to saliva.
