Zollanvari: The nomad carpet, re-invented

Information
The Swiss importer Zollanvari is a great re-inventor of the Persian nomad carpet. His creations are handmade from handspun and plant-dyed wool, and you can detect their nomadic origin in every piece, even in those that bear modern Japanese-inspired patterns or designs by contemporary artists.

The "Ghashgha'i meets Bauhaus" collection shows traditional Ghashgha'i motifs using the stylistic vocabulary of the Bauhaus movement. The collection features designs by So Far So Near (Milan) and Soheila Shayegan (Cyprus). The Ikebana collection is a fresh, floral interpretation of Japanese fabrics and includes both clearly drawn and abstract floral designs.

Zollanvari has received numerous international awards for both handknotted carpet and flatweave collections, including the renowned German Design Award.
