Fibre manufacturer Radici reports 6.7 per cent decline in turnover

Radici Group, Italian manufacturer of chemicals, engineering plastics, and fibres for carpeting and nonwovens, among others, closed the 2020 financial year with total sales of EUR 1 billion, down 6.7%. However, EBITDA increased by 4.4% to EUR 173 million, and operating profit after depreciation and amortisation even rose to EUR 87 million: an increase of 8.1% compared to 2019.

Slow recovery in the furniture trade

The BBE Furniture Index only showed a single-digit minus in the first half of 2021 (-9.7 %). The decline in sales from the first quarter of 2021 has therefore already been significantly reduced.
