The devastating flood disaster has destroyed livelihoods in Germany; various furniture retailers such as Martin and XXXLutz are supporting those affected.
Radici Group, Italian manufacturer of chemicals, engineering plastics, and fibres for carpeting and nonwovens, among others, closed the 2020 financial year with total sales of EUR 1 billion, down 6.7%. However, EBITDA increased by 4.4% to EUR 173 million, and operating profit after depreciation and amortisation even rose to EUR 87 million: an increase of 8.1% compared to 2019.

In the third year of restructuring, the formerly ailing Kika/Leiner group is in a very healthy position; now CEO Reinhold Gütebier and managing directors Darius Kauthe and Oliver Müther have prematurely extended their contracts by three years, as is reported by the news portal Niederösterreichische Nachrichten.
The Austrian furniture store chain Kika/Leiner has so far "fully achieved all planned objectives" in the current financial year (start: 1 October 2020) despite several lockdowns – this was announced by CEO Reinhold Gütebier at a press conference in St. Pölten.
