The Danish retailer Jysk had already opened its 3000th store in February: in Italy's largest shopping centre, the Da Vinci Village in Fiumicino on the outskirts of Rome. However, due to the pandemic, the corresponding celebration did not take place until 18 May. Mikael Nielsen, Executive Vice President Retail of Jysk, was present; together with Cesare Bailo (Country Manager Jysk Italia) he welcomed the first customers to the reopened shop. Jysk was founded in Denmark in 1979; in Germany, the stores still operate under the name "Dänisches Bettenlager" until autumn 2021.
