The US rug manufacturer Feizy Rugs has partnered with the Indian non-profit organisation Akshaya Patra Foundation to donate more than USD 150,000 toward India’s COVID-19 relief efforts. As the country faces a devasting second wave of cases, these funds will provide 1,350 families with more than 56,000 meals for 21 days and help provide hospitals with proper medical equipment. To help mitigate the spread of COVID-19, many businesses have been forced to shutter their doors, causing unprecedented food shortages. “We, at Feizy, believe in taking care of the communities in which we live and work,” says John Feizy, Founder and CEO of Feizy Rugs. The first round of meals has already been distributed in the village of Chhanaura in the Bhadohi area.
