The Heimtextil trade fair in Frankfurt is expanding its portfolio with a new, non-textile product segment. Starting in 2026, elastic floor coverings, design flooring, cork flooring, laminate, parquet, wooden floors, and outdoor coverings will be invited to participate in the event. “Non-textile floor coverings are an ideal addition to the existing product range offered at Heimtextil and appeal to new target groups, such as the specialised floor-covering retail. Thanks to the direct link to Carpets & Rugs, the industry also benefits from efficient synergies between product segments and numerous new contacts,” says Heimtextil Director Margit Herberth.
The Carpets & Rugs segment, which already features textile floor coverings and area rugs, serves the same target groups relevant for Flooring & Equipment at Heimtextil. The new category of elastic and hard flooring is designed to build directly on this foundation, both in terms of product categories and their placement within the exhibition grounds. “‘The new product range fits seamlessly into the hall plan of Heimtextil 2026 at the Messe Frankfurt Exhibition Center. We optimise the visitor target groups' routes in order to guide them efficiently and purposefully to the existing range,” announces Margit Herberth. Additionally, a high-quality supporting programme will complement the event, tailored specifically to the global carpet and flooring industry.
