Koelnmesse: Stable Revenue in 2024

According to its own statements, Koelnmesse recorded stable revenue of around €365 million in 2024, along with a profit of approximately €20 million. Despite economic uncertainties, weak consumer demand, and geopolitical challenges, the company was able to maintain its market position. CEO Gerald Böse emphasises: "Our results impressively demonstrate stability and resilience in a challenging market environment."

With over 34,500 exhibiting companies from 106 countries and more than 2.1 million visitors from 197 nations, Koelnmesse remained an important platform for global trade in 2024. Among the standout events were ISM, Spoga + Gafa, Gamescom, and Orgatec. The 2024 financial year also saw a return of biennial trade fairs to a level surpassing the results of 2022.

Plans for 2025 are ambitious: According to Koelnmesse, the world's largest food trade fair, Anuga, is already fully booked. Many other events, such as IDS and Interzum, are also reporting a strong increase in registrations. Additionally, there is a strategic realignment of the furniture and interiors sector: From 2025, IDD Cologne will provide a high-quality platform held every two years in October, while IMM Cologne will be repositioned from 2026 as an annual B2B event catering to the consumer-oriented market.
