Migros: Management Buyout at Micasa

Swiss retail group Migros is discontinuing its specialist retail chains Micasa and Do it + Garden. While no buyer has been found for the home improvement and garden stores, the furniture and homeware chain Micasa will continue through a management buyout.

From 1 September 2025, CEO Philipp Agustoni and COO Manuel Landolt will take over the company, which operates nearly 40 stores, with the backing of a private equity investor. This ensures the Micasa brand remains on the market.
