Zollanvari: All European business via Zurich

The Swiss importer Zollanvari is expanding its customer service; all European enquiries will be handled by the Zurich office. The Hamburg warehouse is closed with immediate effect until further notice. In addition to the business owner Reza Zollanvari, the Zurich team consists of: Edin Selimovic (Manager Switzerland), Denijal Gredelj (Warehouse and Sales Manager), Ramin Zollanvari (Key Account Manager), and Gabi Peter (Special Orders & Marketing).

Heimtextil: definite restart in January

The regulations of the Hessian state government, which have been in force since 22 November 2021, confirm that Heimtextil will be held under 2G requirements. "With regard to the official 2G obligation, we are also pleased to have valid results from our global network of subsidiaries and sales partners of Messe Frankfurt, which show that almost all participating exhibitors and their teams from all international core markets of Heimtextil have been vaccinated with approved vaccines. As for our visitors, the situation will be similar", explains Olaf Schmidt, Vice President Textiles & Textile Technologies.

Victoria (UK) in talks to buy part of Balta
The UK-based floorcoverings producer Victoria PLC has confirmed that it is in discussions to buy a part of the Belgian Balta Group. This was reported by the Reuters news agency. Domotex 2022 cancelled

Deutsche Messe, organiser of the floor coverings fair Domotex, has been fighting till the very end for the event to take place from 13 to 16 January, now it has had to be cancelled. The increase of Corona virus infections led to further uncertainty and further exhibitor cancellations, said the organisers and pulled the ripcord at the end of November 2021. "Domotex is particularly affected by the impact of the Corona pandemic, as the vast majority of exhibitors and visitors come from abroad. In view of the current pandemic situation, international business travel is not expected to recover in the short term," said Sonia Wedell-Castellano, Global Director Domotex.

Home & Flooring Expo 2021: Carpet Home draws positive conclusion

SN-Verlag Hamburg, which also publishes Carpet Home, held its first digital trade fair for the flooring industry at the beginning of November 2021: Home & Flooring Expo. 14 exhibitors had registered for the virtual premiere; Bahram Tahbaz, Care & Fair, Faradj & Homayoun Farhadian and Oritop were amongst them. The companies presented themselves and their products at virtual stands. Visitors could contact their staff directly via chat and video functions.

Amini: "Made in Afghanistan" event with online auction

Italian carpet supplier Amini is celebrating the opening of the compoany's Made in Afghanistan project in in their Milan showroom on 23 November (6:30 p.m.). The "evening of conviviality and solidarity" will also include an online auction in partnership with the online auction platform Catawiki. Its object is to raise funds for the international organisation Emergency in Afghanistan. Emergency provides free medical care to victims of war, landmines and poverty.

Otto tests live shopping show

In China it is already a market worth billions: live shopping, i.e. shopping via livestream on the Internet. Here, presenters show products and answer questions the viewers can ask via a chat function. The products presented in the show can be placed directly in the viewers' shopping baskets.
