German Design Award for Kymo

Converging ripples that form when raindrops hit the surface of a lake: Designer Katharina Tannous was inspired by this phenomenon when she created the "New Wave" collection for Kymo. Now the timeless carpets with the dynamic surface have been awarded the German Design Award 2021. "A great piece of work that is all the more facinating the longer you look at it," the jury stated. The original New Wave indoor collection is made of New Zealand wool and viscose, now there is also an outdoor version made from recycled PET.
