Flood disaster: furniture retailers support victims

The devastating flood disaster has destroyed livelihoods in Germany; various furniture retailers such as Martin and XXXLutz are supporting those affected. The Möbel Martin group of companies, for example, has donated a total of EUR 40,000. Affected households receive an "emergency aid discount" of an additional 20% on new furniture and furnishings at all Möbel Martin locations.

The XXXLutz group of companies grants damaged parties ad-hoc discounts of up to 50 % and makes furniture donations available at short notice. In addition, the XXXL-Plus emergency aid programme, endowed with EUR 1.5 million, supports the Lutz employees affected by the floods. A donation initiative was started among the staff; the management wants to double the amount collected.
