Ikea increases prices by an average of 9%

The Corona pandemic is also affecting the furniture giant Ikea. As a result, the company is raising its prices – worldwide, by 9% on average. According to dpa, this was announced by a spokesperson for Ikea Germany on 30 December. Interrupted supply chains, increased transport costs and raw material prices are driving up costs. In the 2021 financial year (closing date 30 August), Ikea Germany's turnover of EUR 5.3 million was 3.2 % below the (record) turnover of 2020.
