The purchasing association Einrichtungspartnerring VME was able to realise a centrally regulated turnover of EUR 1.588 billion in 2021, despite the changeable conditions. According to VME, this corresponds to an increase of 16.5% compared to the previous year.
"We did not expect this, but it is a very positive result, which we were able to achieve despite the mixed furniture year caused by the long lockdown periods and the increasing delivery problems at the manufacturers," says chief executive Frank Stratmann. In 2021, the VME continued to invest in its future, among other things through the implementation of numerous digitalisation projects and the expansion of its own retail brands, first and foremost the Interliving brand.
