XXXLutz takes over Swiss furniture store Meubles Pesse

The XXXLutz Group continues its shopping tour in Switzerland. The Austrian group of companies is taking over the Swiss furniture store Meubles Pesse, located in the canton of Valais. The contractual basis has already been signed. Meubles Pesse will continue to exist under its name at its current location.

The founding family of Meubles Pesse has decided to sell the business to XXXLutz in order to find a sustainable solution for the future, according to the company. The approximately 60 employees will continue to be employed at the existing conditions.

"The newly acquired business is an ideal fit for the XXXL concept and perfectly expands our branch network in Switzerland," said Thomas Saliger, company spokesman for the XXXLutz Group. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price and details of the contract. The participation is subject to approval by the antitrust authorities.
